Thanks so much for your respond; I greatly appreciate it! Also, thanks for the other reply too. I didn't know that there was a site for me to make the complaints about the bad customer services from the dealerships.

I'll be back to report on the service I get because I already made an appointment to get the OC check tomorrow....
NP...that other thread is to file a complaint to the gov about the oil burning VQ as a 'defect', not to file complaints about crappy dealer service to owners.

Bad dealer service you call Infiniti Customer Care. That Gov division could care less about Dealer's behavior.

G/L tomorrow.....

Count your blessings as one of lucky ones with revups not dealing with this. Many 05-06 350Z 6mt revups have OC too.

Wanna trade revup's. j/k...my replacement is doing pretty good now.

Think her first post said something like only 2qts coming out when in for oil changes = 3qts of OC.

I'm probably coming in real late on this conversation but there is an Infiniti Service Bulletin [Ref: ITB08-002C]
entitled: 2005 -2007 G35; Engine Oil Level Low.
Which covers this problem. It is for
2005-2006 Sedan (v35) w/ MT;
2005 -2007 G35 Coupe w/ MT
Applied VIN: G35 Coupe Vehicles built before: JNKCV54E(*)7M910256 -
G35 Sedans all VINS
Applied Date:
G35 Coupe Vehicles built before May 29, 2007 G35
Sedans All Dates.
If you Confirm:
Engine oil level is low OR There is unusual engine noise.
The Dealer Action for this is then:
The process is that they give the car an oil change and seal the motor. You bring it back in 1,000 miles and they chart the oil consumption and this process happens four times. If the consumption warrants a new engine you get one. Warranty covered.
The reason that I know this is that I have the Bulletin in hand and am copying the information off of it. I'm having this done to my G tomorrow along with getting a new Master and Slave Cylinder.
So you should reference the Bulletin number;
ITB08-002c.
Entitled: 2005 -2007 G35; Engine Oil Level Low.
Dated May 20,2008
When you talk to the dealer, this way you help him help you !
Hope this helps...

There's been a whole seperate thread about the TSB when first released long time ago.
I gave that link just a few posts back:
https://g35driver.com/forums/tsb-tec...ption-tsb.html
Jan 10, 2008 was the first one (ITB08-002)
Feb 27, 2008 revised second one (ITB08-002.a)
May 20, 2008 revised third one and most current (ITB08-002.c)

TSB doesn't say dealer seals up engine, depends on the dealer.

Come back in 1000 mi four times...incorrect.

Read the TSB again

Just telling ya'll what the dealer told me.. If that's different than what your experience has been that's cool.
I attempted to upload the Bulletin as a PDF but it exceeded the size limit ...
None the less, if people have a reference to use as a talking point that's a good thing.
Unless you have a newer bulletin to share??...

You made it sound like all your statements were based off the TSB you had in your hand, hence the context of my reply back quoting you.

No worries, just like to keep the facts straight what the TSB actually says, not what the dealer says. Those you mentioned are common ones from dealers as you now say is where you got that info from.

That thread link I've given twice here very recently is for the TSB and has lots of info, experiences and what to look out for from dealers games before/during OC testing from many, mine included.

I've uploaded the current TSB there a few times. Post 1 is the first one released in Jan 08 by the OP in that thread (I can't update first post there, otherwise I would with current one) You found the most recent one and thanks for typing all that out for here.

Here's link for current one in force for anyone who wants:

So I went in this morning to the dealership and the guy seemed to be aware of the issue and was nice about. Gave me the oil change for free and told me to come back in 1,500 miles... He even joke that he hopes the engine blows so I can get a new one.

Just happy that they didn't give me any BS.
