"350z style" INFINITI engine cover?

has anyone taken a 350z engine cover and rebadged it to infiniti? I've only seen this on the CF aftermarket ones, but never an OEM 350z one. I've looked around but couldn't find a picture or a thread stating that it's been done. Do they make one that comes with the Infiniti logo? I'm not looking to cut my OEM one and I'd preferably like to buy one that comes like this from the factory (not likely though)

this is a carbon fiber 1/2 cover (I call it 1/2 cover because it doesn’t have Nissan emblem so it's not really a Z cover)... It is shaped exactly like the Z cover without the Nissan emblem embedded... DaveO helped me custom shape it - as you can see it contours the plenum - I have 1/2" spacer so it gives better clearance, plus helps from keeping heat trapped under the front side of cover... I also cut the front lip to allow for better airflow across plenum (again for cooling purposes)... I'm not a fan of CF look anyway so sanding and painting then slapping an Infiniti logo (coupe trunk emblem that I had black chromed) and this is the end product:

BTW, I had to get some alternate grommets, inserts, washers, bolts, spacers and things to get the fit right when bolted down... it was a bunch of trial & error but it's a much better fit with what I have than using OEM hardware. If you chose to do something similar, plan on finding alternate hardware... if you are in LA/OC (So Cal) area try King Bolt (I think in West Covina)... they have everything... that’s where I got everything.

just do what I did without shaping/cutting. you'll have a 350Z one with an Infiniti logo.

so here's some updated pix of my engine bay. My goal is to swap out the NISSAN logo for an INFINITI one. anyone know of a good way to do this?

Shouldn't it be just like debadging?

You could always get a CF one and paint it. I love the look of the CF.

naw, I'm not really debadging. I want an INFINITI logo instead of the NISSAN one.

Then you can paint it and put the Mt. Fuji back on.

try removing the emblem.. filling the area with bondo then sanding it and painting over it. that should turn out nice
