Will 215/55/17 fit my coupe?

I have a deal in the works for a wheel & snow tire combo, but it came off a sedan and they are 215/55/17.
Will I have any issues? Safety or otherwise? Like, will I have speedo accuracy issues?

Please advise. I have a 06 6MT coupe.

I think the recommended sizes are 225/50 front and 235/55 rear. That will keep the OEM stagger.

I have 225/55/17's all the way around on my coupe with no problems.....the speedo shows 2mph less than normal.....But the rear tires are within specs.

Check The WHEEL TIRE CALCULATOR Put in your stock rear size then the snow......
Check the diameter against the rear wheel of your car....if its within 3% of the original set up......you should not have any problems at all....

Only thing can think of is that 215 may be a little narrow...but that could be a good thing when your talking about snows....

Cool calculator.
I thought OEM recommended was 225/50/17 & 235/50/17? You may be right.

The wheel i'm looking at are
7.5 x 17, 5 x 114 ET40 wheels with 215/55/17

argh.. I may have to look for other options.

You are right, I left off the 235/50 when I typed the post.....either size in the rear will not mess w/ the VDC/ABS system

I have another guy selling his 03' sedan rims with 215/55/17 snow tires...
Do alot of coupe owners go non-staggered?? I want it but I don't know what to do! Help!

Also can someone confirm the attached wheel is off a 03' sedan?

hardly any coupe owners go unstaggered, the few that do are usually doing so in the winter, and most have been okay, so you should probably be okay with that setup

yeah I have the same size snow tires on my coupe for the winter I saved the wheels from my old sedan to use instead of the oem 19s mine are the same size except my sedan was a none sport model so I had the six spoke rims. 215/55/17 all around.
