Horrible Gas Mileage
thats just it sometimes i will get on it from light to light, or i will run a mustang or import. i just drive calmy from point a to point b. i tried to follow the advice of keeping the rpms below 2500-2000 and that seem to have burned more gas. now when i accelerate i take each gear to 3000-3500 RPMs. this allows me to get to my crusing speed faster and not bog down in each gear.
I just did Long Beach to Laughlin to the petrified forest to Las Vegas and back to Long Beach. Considering I was on the 40 for 2.5 hours up and 2.5 back with the cruise on 85 and never stopped or changed it and the x winds so bad the dust was blinding. Wind adv in Vegas. With that I got 23.3. Not bad.
I just got back from Ocean City, MD for hot rod cruise week, and I got 27.5 mpg on the way down there, and 24.0 mpg (stop and go traffic) on the way home with my 2005 G35 coupe 6MT. This was according to my ScanGauge II which I have calibrated and I also calculate manually each fillup to confirm it.
I'm probably the one getting the worse gas mileage here lol. I swear I'm getting like 5 mpgs, I'm going to change my spark plugs and report back to this thread. Do you guys really think that the O-Rings in the fuel injectors might be causing bad gas mileage? I do get a smell of gas on rare occassions when doing a cold start

The navi is not BS.. When I first got the car, I was avg. 19mpg... 3 years later I am avg 15mpg. Didn't think it was correct but I did the math and it matched perfectly to the navi...
Not sure why my MPG dropped..
