so one of my oem hid ballast finally gave up... So I decided to upgrade the entire hid light system on my car. I ordered my kit from http://allxenon.com/ and I got the 55w ballast and I was amazed on the kit output, It was all worth it!!! they sell the D2 bypass kit with 55w ballast (morimoto) really happy with the outcome!
I ordered it online at 11:58 pm EDT on July 26. It was received at their warehouse on July 31 and sent out on August 1. Here is the back:
This little box was inside the brown box:
This is what was in the little box:
It goes here where I put my hand every time I drive the car:
The retail price for this treasured paint-matched plastic jewel, which replaces the original that mysteriously disappeared, is $70.96. It can be had at infinitipartsdeal.com for $48.79 + $8.61 ground shipping, or $57.40. My purchase price was $17.00 + $8.23 Japan Post Small Packet (no tracking), or $25.83.
The promised delivery times were 4-days to warehouse and 6-14 days shipping for a max total of 18 days. Recognizing that I ordered at midnight so really this ball started rolling July 27, I received this baby in 12 days.
G2B35AGN I went with the passenger side cover which is blank and just covered the keyhole it's easy enough to pop off with the key, without damaging or scratching anything, if I do need to ever manually unlock the door.
I had my side skirts and rear pieces painted to match the front lip. I also installed 06/07 headlights. I'm thinking about getting the hood and roof back to IP, but someone mentioned painting the spoiler black which I kind of like that idea.

Nice. I like it but I'd be too hesitant to do it. Risky. The tabs are so small and fragile (cheesy comes to mind). Which is likely why mine disappeared. A couple times popping it off and I'd be singing "Amayama...Damyoumama...." all over again.
I too have not fitted mine back since the respray. The clips broke off so I just have to epoxy it on or something.
Mines got messed up when I remove the handle to paint it I have to take the window out to get easy access. I'm still trying to make time to go change the color of my car lol

Gotta say I'm not a fan of the look. To me you've got too much going on, I'm a big fan of the less is more concept. With a black hood and roof if you paint the spoiler black the trunk will look out of place. If you paint the trunk and spoiler your car will look like Shamu. The side view looks all f*cked up, the line along the side under the fenders and the door looks disorganized since it's not straight and the black splash guards look out of place as well.
I think I get where you are going with the concept, I just think it needs to be scaled back a bit. Also, blacked out wheels and such are very difficult to see in pictures. I can't see your side skirts at all, not even with the picture enlarged and the wheels are very difficult to make out as well. Finally the light output of the headlights and tail lights can't be great tinted so darkly and that's not good. Don't get so lost in appearance mods that you overlook the essential safety features of the car. Too much of a good thing is never a good thing.
What would look balling on your car would be a black roof, black wheels, black grill and front spoiler and a black rear diffuser. Simple but very effective changes that don't look like you put your mod plans in a blender and installed whatever mess came out. But hey, if you want to drive a bi-polar Shamu then go for it.
^^^well said. The car looks like a test mule where the MFG doesn't want you to be able to conceptualize the exterior of the car before production. The uneven line at the door is particularly egregious--it makes the car look like it was in an accident and the body shop did a bad job at repairing it,
Might want to paint your calipers to give some color to the wheels.
