Ya it does I've taken them off and on. Gap smaller on but looks odd cause lines don't look right with plastic trim. I took them off cause drivers side was damaged

But until then, a shop will be changing my oil.
Well yes, you make a very good point which I admit i sometimes overlook.

I was born with a wrench in my hand, so for me to do something complex is no big deal. I'm an engineer, so complex machines don't phase me. I've done my own engine rebuilds and transmission rebuilds on my Mustang. A oil change literally is a 20 min job for me. When both of my front wheel bearings failed on my G35x, I didn't hesitate to buy the parts and do it in my driveway taking 3 hours each side. So i sometimes take it for granted not everyone has the ability, or desire to DIY.

I'm also a little OCD when it comes to vehicle repairs. Everything needs to be cleaned, and properly torqued. Best way to know for sure this was done is to DIY.

Just how I am i guess.

Good lord, your car wouldn't make it a block around here with our pot holes, large rocks and train tracks.

It's not a problem for him. He doesn't have a license so he only drives in parking lots.

No, I think he "proved to be to lazy and stupid" (sic) to argue with us. That or he forgot his flame suit and burned alive.

I don't know about you guys but i rather pay top dollar (even though i am getting ripped off) at the dealers and get it done the right way. That way if they F**ked up they get to fix it for free. But oil change don't need to worry about it.

Every place I've ever gotten my oil change at regardless if it was synthetic or not it always says change after 3000 miles. I think it is just common practice, not necessarily a scam.
