I go 7500 now with Mobil 1. Have for many years. Even ran it 15,000 with Amzoil a couple of times.

Amzoil says you can run up to 25,000 if you change the filter and top up half way through.

Yes, you lose about 1/2 to 3/4 of a quart when you change the filter only.

oh didnt know people just change the filter. must be messy and a hassle

Nomore messy than an oil change. Even when you drain the oil from the pan, the filter is still full.
