So, wait? When I lock my car with the remote, there is no sound. How can I activate the sound? And how can I change the other modes of my car?

hold the lock and unlock button at the same time for like 10 secs or until you hear a beep

13 tweaks you probably didn't know about

After reading a couple of threads about adjusting the sensitivity of the automatic on/off feature for my Xenons, I decided to pay a visit to my dealer. Well, it turns out that once the car is hooked up to the dealer’s diagnostic computer, they can change several other settings at the same time.

<snip>

Have fun figuring which settings you want and pestering your dealer to change them for you!
And how exactly do you change modes? You didn't say. Only the dealer can do it?

did you know that your on your radio controller on the steering wheel, if you're playing a CD, and you push and hold the seek button up or down for a second or two, it'll change to the next CD, assuming that you have more than 1 disc in the player...

I figured that out a couple weeks ago ...

Thanks to this thread, I also learned about the windows-down with the keyfob and the trunk-button deactivator switch in the glove box! Keep it coming for my newbie-ness!

Something even cooler...UHP tires are not for snow and sleet.....and your car can't cut down trees...I know it's weird,but so true. A lot of cars have the ability nowadays to screw off with your remote to rolldown the windows,or make all the lights come on or even make you a cup of coffee,but like it was stated,interesting stuff,but all right there in that manual.

Now THAT IS good to know... it's always irked me that I had to push the button on the head unit face. Thanks! (and no, this is not sarcasm, that tidbit really is useful)

Wow, this was one of the few threads I started when I was a noob. See, this is what I was looking for when I first got this car. I'm glad Joker revived this thread after nearly 2 years

Look wise ***, not everyone knew that when they get the car Just look at the last two pages and you'll noticed not everyone here knows everything about our cars. Sheesh, someone woke up on the wrong side of the G this morning

Are you serious? Well, if you are, mine was in the Trunk so look there. However, I believe it should be in the center compartment of the rear seats.
