which windshield wipers would you recommend?
Its time for me to replace my wiper blades and I'm stuck.
I've searched this forum through and through yielding no positive results.
I really like the euro-style wipers like the valeo ultimates or bosch icons because they work really well, but how come not so much on our cars?
Which blades would you recommend in general?

I like the PIAA wipers. I've used both PIAA and Bosch, but like the PIAA better. I think the blades have some sort of coating on them, becuase it put a rain-x type coating on the window... I only replaced one wiper, and I noticed water only sheats off on the side with the PIAA wiper, not the side with the Bosch wiper. My jeep has one piaa wiper and one bosch wiper, becuase I intended to buy bosch at the time, but the PIAA wiper had an optional air-deflector on it, so I got that for the driver's side, because the stock wiper also had an air deflector...
After using that combo for almost 2 years, I found the PIAA to be longer lasting.

As far as putting Rain-X on your windshield... That's all fine and dandy when you do lots of hwy driving, but when you are stuck in traffic, you still need decent wipers
I do recommend however, putting rain-x on your rear-windows. Makes it easier to see when it rains, even lightly, as the water will bead. On my G, when it rains, you can tell where I put rain-X on the rear window. water beads up, and it's easy to see out. Where I didn't put it on... Water is all blurry, and the dirt has dried to the window that way, so if it just mists, you can't see out the non-rainx part.
