Thumbs up looking for some enlightment/convincing - thinking about buying

Hello all,

I'm currently in the market for a new ride and a G35 coupe 6mt is on my list. I don't know too much about it just that it i like the way it looks. but i need more than just that to pull the trigger. please, let me know what you guys like/dont like, could've been better? experiences? problems? etc. any and all info would be awesome. thanks

I have an 07 6MT which doesn't seem to have the oil consumption problems. But let me tell you...getting in and out of this car never gets old...

my only dislike, beside most of the common stuff in that thread, is clutch shifting. I've had 3 MTs prior to this one and this car is BY FAR the hardest to drive smoothly...

what else is on your list?

I had the IS350 on my list prior to buying but I had an Audi A4 2.8L and just didn't want another sedan.

I've had some issues with the car like rattling mirror, oil consumption, air bag light, etc, that were all taken care of by the dealer. And even through all the "problems" the car ran and performed just as strong as new, so you can't really call them problems. Get the car with warranty and enjoy it worry free. The only less then perfect thing is the notchy shifting in the 6MT but it works good and I got used to it.

Another 6MT owner here - just had it 3 months - and it's got issues like any other car, but MAN is this thing fun to drive!

I have a flawless 04.5 6MT with nearly 80K miles now and have no issues with it. I don't know why people have trouble other than many don't do well with RWD manual cars that make lots of torque.
