Hey guys, do any of you have any good tips on removing the OEM spoiler on an 07' Coupe? I've heard the horror stories about the glue but it seems that quite a few people have done it so I just wanted to see if there are any tips? Thanks in advance.

Heat gun (or blow drier) at the adhesion point, between the trunk lid and the spoiler. Start at the left, heat it up for about 1 minute, then with fishing line, slowly wedge it in between. Work youre way to the right until the spoiler is entirely off. Then heat up the glue, and remove with alcohol or Goo-Gone.
Thanks for the quick reply. My guess is after this is off and cleaned, I can easily bolt and stick on an 05 spoiler. Is this correct???
a.k.a kleicoupe
Good luck, I tried an gave up, I was too worried about having the paint come up with the spoiler.

Did you heat it up good as well? I'm guessing it's not going to be like a knife through butter but surely if it's pretty warmed up the fishline would go through the adhesive. (I know, I'm trying to keep optomistic) Originally Posted by kleicoupe

BTW, has there been more than one person here peel the paint off while trying to get the spoiler off? Otherwise, maybe it was just bad technique.

It's Laser Red so you'd have to paint it. My new spoiler is on order so this one will come off probably sometime next week. Kinda expensive ($700) to go back to an older model spoiler, but I sure like the sporty look better than the classy look. Make me an offer
