G35 coupe Front License plate Tow Hook owenr come in !
okay..i got this knock off from ebay, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Infin...em180223766117 it only gives ur the diameter of the hook, I got the 16mm since mine is 03 (03 04 are the same) ..and then sooner after I got it i found out that its shorter than I expected, I put the liecnese plate on the stand first then screw it back on in, but damn those screws scrape my paint..and so theres no way for me to tighten it ....i alreday cuted the screws ..but it still touches the front bumper, I guess I will need to get the real deal from stillen, maybe 16mm with 7 1/2 length? wouldn't that be way too stick out?

The length of the tow hook bolt should be 5 7/8". That will clear the front of your bumper. That is the length of the bolt supplied by Stillen.
If you still have the OEM license plate mount, just attach it to the bumper with Binder clips...it will cost you all of maybe $2.00

I just finished and am ready to install a simple home made mounting device that cost about $15, but does involve some time. I'll post pictures later today.
I would have used the Stillen device but I called them and they don't make one for the '06 sedan.
Materials are a 24mm x 180mm fully threaded bolt (and nut, to lock the bolt against the frame so it doesn't rotate) from Grainger (about $8), and a NIssan Sentra plastic front bracket plate (under $9) and some miscellaneous screws and a metal plate.
It's cheap and avoids drilling holes, and could probably be adapted to any model G35 (I don't know enough about the others to know, though.)
Pictures to follow (later today, I hope).

OK, here's the poor man's way to get legal without drilling the bumper. This is for a 2006 Sedan. The images are hyperlinks to larger photos.
Get a 24mm x 180 mm fully threaded bolt if you can find one and nut, which you'll use on the far back of the bolt (I got the partially threaded 24mmx160mm one from Grainger, about $12 with shipping) and a plate bracket for a Nisan Sentra. Because this is a partially threaded bolt I had to grind some of the shank away in order to get it in far enough and lock it with a bolt on the rear. A 24mm die would have been neater and easier. There could be lots of other brackets that would work as well or better. I suspect there is a lot of variation in sizes for the length and diameter of the bolt for different models, so measure first.
I brazed 1/4" nuts behind the metal plate to hold the license plate, then drilled and tapped a 1/4" hole in the center and three smaller screw holes around the periphery of the bolt head. The three screws lock the plate onto the bolt head (so it doesn't spin) and also provide a level of redundancy so one screw isn't holding the whole thing. The bolt will be locked from rotating by a nut on the rear of the frame.
I painted the metal to slow down rust, but stainless would be nice, too. The bolt assembled onto the plate is very sturdy.
The assembly screws into the tow hook hole. I left it extended an inch from where it would end up, then placed the Nissan Sentra plastic plate piece ($8.47 at a Nissan dealer), then marked it 1 inch from the bumper to determine where to cut the plastic. You'll need to remove some other plastic from the back as well. Then I did the same thing vertically. (I don't have a "before" photo.) So there's an inch of space now between the plastic and the body, which will go away when you screw the bolt in another inch.
Then screw the bolt in to where you want it. (I could just do it like a propeller, without removing the metal, but depending on the depth you might be better to take the metal plate off.) The plastic goes over the metal and the plate goes on top of that. I'll probably add a decorative bracket later. I cut the nylon screws so they wouldn't hit the bumper.
Finally, line up the assembly so it's level and tighten the 24mm nut against the backside of the frame, locking it so it doesn't spin.
The whole thing cost a little over 20 bucks and is very sturdy, and the nut on the rear of the assembly keeps it from rotating. I really didn't have a good alternative, except to buy a $90+ bracket from Infiniti (I bought the car used without a front plate) and then drill the bumper. Stillen doesn't yet make one to fit the '06 sedan. I haven't decided whether to keep a wrench in the trunk to be able to remove it if I need the tow hook, but I'm thinking I'll never need the tow hook.
