do these cars really need the premium gas or can we put midgrade in them??

Try This. 90-91 is perfect octane for peak performance and gas mileage. Fill the tank half with 93 and half with 87 or
half 89 and half 91 and you will have 90 octane all the time and save a significant amount per tank!

why is this thread still going anyway??? for those who will fill with 87 (nyg35fl) there is no talking them out of it (i just hope i never end up buying one of those cars)...
