what do you guys consider "beating" on your cars?

If thats true, then you arent even utilizing the G's full potential, bro. It looks great but it also runs great. That doesnt mean redline it but 3000rpm?
Then again, to each his own. I guess it is still great knowing its there when you want it so...

beating on it would be redline every day.... to me anyway
and think of it like this.... beating on your car increases your heart rate so you can tell yourself it's exercise..... the more frequently you increase your heart rate, the healthier your cardiovascular system is..... which would you rather break first? the G? or YOU? haha

It's a sports car. I take it to just under red a few times a day and I drive with the VDC turned off, since I often get a little slip on a turn once in a while.
Beating it would be hitting the limiter on a regular basis and slamming every shift and dropping the clutch hard all the time.

1. Burnouts
2. Drifting
3. Donuts
4. Launching
etc...
I don't think red-lining is really beating on the car. It's there for a reason. Of course if you're red-lining every shift that's a different story. Every now and then shouldn't be considered beating on it.

The G sounds natural and in it's groove when you sail past 5k on the tach. I remember my '99 Z24 Cavalier feeling and sounding like it was complaining at anything past 4k. That car made me feel like I was abusing it whereas the G rewards me for being enthusiastic.
I beat the hell out of a 2008 3.2L A4 tonight and it was fantastic. 400 miles on it, redlined it the entire night and tested out the brakes. They work especially well when slamming on them at 60
