Cigarette Ligther doesnt give power?

I'm trying to use my cigarette lighter to power my radar detector for my trip to school tomorrow because the center console one is used for the fm transmitter. But I cant get the lighter to power either, does this car just not have power hookup to it? Is there any other place to plug in which I have missed??

ur right it doesn't give power, and i dont think there is any other spot. you might be able to get a 1 into 2 adapter tho... maybe.

I had this happen on my Jeep recently and it was a blown fuse. One outlet worked for every item, the other didn't.

If you're shoving all kinds of different adapters into the sockets, sometimes they will short out and blow a fuse, check your fuse box. it's usually a blue 15a fuse which blows out on your accesories. Change it, then retest, your power supply should work ok. Or if it's the charger causing the problem, it could blow the fuse again....
