G35 sedan w/ too much money in mods
Don't waste your time with the Stillen, it doesn't perform that well. Stick with a Transgo, it shifts hard and fast at speed, and when driven normally you really can't tell it's there. Because the shifts are more efficient it helps keep the heat down and it is actually easier on the transmission even when it bangs the gears because of that.

It's probably the only major mod I have left to do.

What about the tuning of the transmission with the Osiris program? Has anyone do this!?!

I have yet to see any indication that it is. You should probably just call Uprev directly and ask.

Hey guys, i really can't find where the actual list of the mods is. I only see people replying to others just like myself, not knowing what to do on my recently purchased G35. Should i click on a link somewhere, or should i actually go through all the pages posted on this thread to find out what mods i'm going to do on my ride? Thanks guys

I asked seymore4 about it, he is a tuner on the forum. here is a quote from him Explaining the tuning of the 5spd. tranny

Not as good as a transgo valve body upgrade, and you're not changing any physical parts, but it does help some guys and is a must with boosted cars

He said both the transgo and tuned trans would work together.

The basics when it comes to bolt-ons:

1) MD MREV2
2) MD 5/16" or 1/2" plenum spacer
3) Z-tube w/ K&N drop in air filter
4) HFC's / MD ART pipes
5) Osiris tune

If you have an automatic than number 1 isn't really necessary.

Welcomed to the G Family - Need Advice and Upgrade/mod help

Welcomed to the G Family - Need Advice and Upgrade/mod help

Well hello everyone! First off I'd like to thank everyone for being so kind to me. By far out of every other community I've ever joined regarding an automotive group. This community has been the most helpful. The following is to give a little background story to the car, and to my somewhat situation. It's not important in the long run. Just a little background story if anyone would like to read... But if not. Just skip the Intro and go right to the questions!

-- Introduction -- Advent of the Gucci - G35 Horror Story -- TLDR! ( FEEL FREE TO SKIP )
Hi guys! So basically I'm switching over to an 06 G35 from an Rx8. The Rx8 has always been a good car for me but I decided I wanted a little more torque and style... So far I've test driven a few Gs and I absolutely loved them. Not to mention I've always wanted a G35 coupe since I was younger. There's just something sexy about the style, and power... Not to mention the sexy behind. My chance came to own a G35 was when I rescued a salvaged 06 G35 with low mileage. Engine ran perfectly, and chassis was intact with minor cosmetic damage to the panels that I soon replaced.
So the horror story starts here. I began by fixing up the G35, and replacing the 1/4 panel driver side and repainting the car from charcoal, to red and black. Then after that. I started installing performance mods... CAIR, Exhaust. ETC ETC.. Everything was going swimmingly. I also had to rip out the interior due to.... GUCCI. It was so bad. I could hardly comprehend who the **** would spend money on the gucci interior. Now before you say. How bad can it be. Let me refer you to the image below. I will post the finished product on the 21st. With all the mods and all my cosmetic changes to the G. Then you can choose to flame me then.
BUT DO NOT WORRY GUYS. I MANAGED TO MAINTAIN THE BEAUTY AND PRESTIGE OF THE G....... I managed to redo the entire interior as well...

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Anyway. Here comes the real questions that I need your opinions on. - I have a few projects to do on the car after so here are myconflicts.
- Sound / Good Amp / Woofer / For Sealed box.
I was thinking of the 10 inch Alpine Type Rx2 or CVR Kicker 10 inchx2 - And a good amp or amps to go with. Can anyone recommend me anything?

Wait a minute. In your other thread you said you bought a different G. Did that fall through so you went back to the Gucci Horror Show? I'm confused...

Unless you're going to add cams as well, don't bother with the headers. Expensive to install and the gains are minimal. Get a set of ART pipes or HFCs to replace the stock cats and you're good.
