Also, fyi I'm not a huge "driver" or anything. I have never had a nice car, so I don't feel like I need to upgrade the driving feel or anything because this car is amazing to me. I don't run it to death(well I do some, but I won't for long), I am all about the looks first off before I am about upgrades to engine or anything.

I really just don't know where to go for mid-level rims or maybe a new grille or anything of that sort, I have been searching around here so hopefully I get some ideas

????? What is the cheapest way to mod your ride? There's no guide line or lists put together based on price......... Do what you want but try not to go cheap; your car isn't.

Use the search button. Lots of thread on starter mods you can do and mods you can do under $100. Most will only be small changes...

Cheap is bad. Inexpensive and bang for the buck value is good.

Engine:
Motordyne 5/16" Spacer = $199 (+WHP)
Z-tube = $60 (+Sound)
06+ Rev-up Box = $60 (+WHP and +Sound)
Example Total: $319

Exhaust:
Berk High Flow Cats = $400 (+WHP and +Sound)
Example Total: $400

External:
06+ Projector Headlights = $500 (+Looks and +Utilitarianism)
Painted Gloss Black front grill = $30 (DIY)
Painted OEM Wheels = $40 (DIY)
Painted Rear Apron/Diffuser = $80 (@ Bodyshop)
Example Total: $650

Good looking car with great intake mods = Total of $1,369

Internal:
Lots of LED and choices here, you're on your own.

Get into Exhausts, Bumpers, hoods, trunks, spoilers, CF, side-skirts, name-brands, etc. You're looking at a couple thousand every time. But even here, some of these mods cost of $100. You can certainly shop around for quality parts in the marketplace, but if you don't want the "ricer" look, then it's big money.

I swapped trunks with a guy a while back. Never got around to putting up a pic though.

Thanks! Can't wait to get a professional shoot done. Actually I am planning on something for the headlights. I seen Sammy_G's car in person and fell in love with painted headlights.

either something two-toned/ fully blacked out like this

or leaving the chrome around the projector like these

What do you think

Time to start Modding

ok i have had my G for almost two years now all stock. the time has come to start modding. here is a list of what i want to do. i need some input on if these are good to do or just a waste of time. i know a little about cars but not a lot so thats why im asking. im open to any suggestions
  • bassani exhaust
  • z tube
  • hks hipermax ls+ coilovers
  • a set of TWS jarama rims 20x10rear & 20x8.5front
  • motordyne mrev2 manifold
  • motordyn copper iso thermal plenum spacer
  • dc headers
  • 15% window tint

eventually i want to go FI and get the GTM twin turbo kit but that wont be for a while. thanks for the input in advance

just my 2 cents.. DEFINITELY the ztube and you might wanna add a JWT pop charger to that.. I have the spacer too.. I don't think it gets too cold in NM does it? so you might not need the IsoThermal.. Save some duckets there.. I have the 1/2" motordyne spacer myself...

I also have the TSW Cadwells.. (kuddos on going for different rims than the norms)

I think I've heard the mrevs don't help on AT transmissions.. I could be completely wrong..

You'll love that 15% tint.. I have that on the rear too.. nice and dark..

Would you mind if I saved you some $, since you have an '03 you don't need the MotorDyne MREV2 that's strictly for the revup motor '05 and up. Along with the Z-Tube get a K&N drop in filter that will cover your intake needs. Stay away from metal Z-Tubes they'll just hurt performance....heat soak! I guess if you haven't spent time in N.M. you wouldn't realize how cold/hot
it can get. Get the MotorDyne 5/16" spacer ISO, along with the other mods listed you'll realize some extra HP and sweet sound. You might want to reconsider the TWS 20" wheels, they'll weigh twice what you OEM wheels do which will hurt performance along with putting stress on brakes and suspension parts. Do a SEARCH under wheels and find the lightest wheels available if you're into performance.
