IMO, if the car doesn't have too many miles on it (or if the car has been using full synthetic for some time), you should go with a full synthetic because of the extra cleaning additives in the oil, but that reccomendation is only based on personal preference. There are TONS of debates on full synthetic vs synthetic blend. Not so much conventional oil anymore, I haven't seen that on store shelves for a while.
Nissan actually recommends "mineral based oils" for the VQ. Most have had no problems using synthetics, but my thinking is that it may have something to do with the types of gaskets they used. Don't quote me on that, but they do in fact "suggest" "mineral based" oil.

Need a little help. Thinking about purchasing the Motordyne MREV 2 manifold with the 5/16 spacer. What kind of improvements should I see on my 2006 G35 Coupe (AT)? Thanks in advance!

Hey guys (and girls?) so i just recently purchased an 06 G35 coupe. I'm new on this forum so please bare with me. It's red with black leather interior not if that matters or anything. I'm thinking of some mods to do but don't really know what to do. I want it fast, but don't want to spend a lot of money. I also want is to "break necks" wherever I go. Anyone got any ideas on what I can do??? Thanks

@Gdirtyfive55, yeah i live in Colorado so i would need like what, 15/30 or 15/40?
No. Don't add fluid when you're pads are low. Cuz when you put new pads on, when you open the caliper, the reservoir will be above the full mark. Don't wanna pop the cap off while driving and get air in the system

You'll find out quickly that improving hp on this engine isn't cheap, it's so highly tuned from factory. High flow cats and plenum spacer and an uprev dyno tune is the best spent go fast money. Sway bars is the best spent handling mod money. As for breaking necks, a 1" drop and nice wheels go a long way

thanks.
You won't see any gains with just fuel system upgrades. The stock injectors are enough to feed this engine up to and maybe past 300whp(stock is ~230-240whp on 6mt) you don't need to upgrade till you get into forced induction. A tune to maximize afr is where you will get hp/efficiency improvements
