OFFICIAL "What Mods Should I Buy for my Coupe?" Thread
The S-techs give the car a great stance IMO. But, lowering that much on just springs will reduce the life of the OEM shocks, especially if you drive you car pretty hard on a daily basis. If you drive normally, your struts should last a while. You will also want a front camber kit since the tires will not last long with that kind of negative camber.
If you plan on doing some serious driving, then I suggest rebuilding the entire suspension. This is costly though.
if you want a decent drop without being slammed and don't feel like adjusting height you can get the s tech or the 350z H tech and get tokiko blues shocks/ struts. Comes out to a couple hundred less than coilovers
Depends on how you drive. Do you want looks or performance:

I am basically doing it for looks, how much more of a drop does s techs have over the h techs...the reason why i ask i been looking at some rims that i want but i notived some of the pics with guys with some nice rims theres a big oem gap which i want to greatly reduce...but i noticed that a full tein suspension is about 2 grand which isnt a big deal but if i can hold off for a bit i will cross that bridge when i get there but for now im jsut dropping some coin on rims n lowering springs with other mods...
Also does that mean I'll need a camber kit for this setup?
^ yes any brand for the 350z will work. Rear camber kit is a must, front is advised but should be close to specs after alignment without one, i only have camber kit in the rear
2006 G35 Coupe Automatic
Greetings,
I just bought a used '06 coupe w/ 31k miles and AUTOMATIC transmission.

I want to add a few engine mods and make it as fast as possible. Could someone give me a few ideas on what I should do? Where to start?
I also have a pioneer flip face dvd player That I would Like to install but I don't want to make the center console look cheap by installing generic after market dins. Help
Thanks,
Drod

^first welcome to driver.
the best bang for the buck engine mod will be a Motordyne Plenum Spacer. you can get a intake but that wont do much but make a cool sound
. then get a exhaust and get your car tuned.
if you dont want the cheap looking Double Din get the JDM DD kit from our sponsor on this site tony@riversideinfiniti

Just to add to O HELLA's list, look into ART test pipes or High Flow Catalytic converters as well. As far as tunes go Osiris will probably be your best choice.
Just gonna post this in here so i dont have to make a new thread
Heres my list
1. MD 5/16 spacer
2. Custom Exhaust from a shop in dallas ( i know the guy so itll be inexpensive)
3. Ztube pop charger
4. Tune
maybe HFC's if i can find some for <400
does that sound like a good plan?
