The ARC Super Induction Box has the best heat shield, but at $650.00 they can keep their heat shield. I have the R2C intake. I do not notice to much heat soak, the tube that came with it was made from abs plastic that is thicker that the z-tube or factory G. It also came with a heat shield that uses the factory air charger or whatever you wanna call it on the front of your car when you open the hood. The heat shield is also metal, I had an idea that I am going to try out. I am going to buy some of that ceramic spray paint and put a coat on the heat shield front and back. If there were any heat soak issues they should be fixed with that b/c the shiel also has a seal on top to seal against the hood.

i'm adding a nismo bumper to my 2004 dp g35 coupe.. i was thinking of doing some aftermarket sideskirts but have decided i rather go with some oem splash guards. only problem is every shop online keeps telling me they are discontinued (especially rear guards).. and i see some on the marketplace.. but the desert platinum color (kx6) seems to be one of the least common. anyone know where i could possibly order some replicas or some websites that might still have them? or is my best bet buying one of these off the marketplace and going to a body shop to paint the splash guards.

I'm lookin' for my first simple "performance" modification. In this case, the cheaper stuff, like an intake. I'm a car newbie, but I love my G and I enjoy cars in general. Anyways, from what I've searched, I've seen people mostly recommend the OEM 350z intake, which is aka zTube? Supposedly the one Stillen provides is great? Are there better simple intake solutions? Please and thank you. I just want to be sure before I decide an OEM Nissan part is the way to go...

The OEM Z-tube and Stillen's are very similar. Either of those with a K&N drop in filter will work good. Some people get the rev-up air box too because it has a better designed inlet behind the filter.

The lower plenum on the non-revups are similar in design to the MREV2, unlike those found on the rev-ups. That is why people don't bother to put them on these engines. You still can, but the gains will be minimal.

Ordered MD 5/16 ISO, and instead of the MREV I got Berk HFC's. Eventually gonna get a MD XYZ with straight pipe to conclude my breathe mods, then Osiris tuner.

Anyone know where I can get a light blue metallic caliper paint kit? Kinda like the Nassau blue on Corvettes.

why don't you get a full exhaust? if i recall below 3k rpm you actually lose power with md xyz pipe.

(dyno here http://my350z.com/forum/8824692-post803.html)

then again gain of 10/8 is pretty good for 400 bucks

Also, even though you are not getting the MREV 2, I have read it also helps if you basically port and polish your lower plenum, to help the air flow better. This you could do at home with a dremel or grinder. I have the Rev UP and think for money cost I am just gonna do this to mine. I have seen results where guys are getting almost as good of results by doing this with the Rev Up plenum.

Yeah I read that while researching, figured the berks would offset it. I already have a magnaflow catback system otherwise i would go full. Im sure I will eventually get rid of that and do true dual but for now this is what Ill be workin with.
