you do whatever you want... but...
postpone the date at least once, twice if you can. in hopes the officer will not be able to reschedule himself to be at your second or third court date.
option1) appear in court. if its your first moving violation, it should get reduced (unless you get a realy crap judge whos a hardass) i got 75 in a 45 and only 1 year probation no points and court costs.
option2) if you're worried about points and insurance prices increasing, spend the money now and hire a lawyer. he should get you off scot free if its your first offense.
but any way you slice it, YOU BROKE THE LAW and were speeding, so face up to whatever punishment is given to you.

wow, my car would have been impounded for 7 days. my license suspended for 7 days, and a court date with attached with a possible 10,000 dollar fine if I did that.
Lucky you. But as other members suggested, bite the bullet and hire a lawyer. It might set you back a good chunk of money, but in the long run it will help.

Ok I want to know if you drove by him at 95? Or did he get you on a radar? Or what? Be more specific on what happened. I got lots of experience w tickets/courts.
You actually got let off easy. In AZ they consider that reckless driving. Depending on the cop.. they could've towed your car, taken you to jail, suspended your license, criminal ticket, oh and you'll be paying some serious $$$
Also, +1 on cops picking on sport cars and "coupes" in general. Im so tired of getting pulled over for stupid *&^% beep %&^%&. I refused to drive my car to Scottsdale anymore.
