"haha, but why would someone downgrade from a g35 if its already paid for?they'll always have. just because they have a nice car at a young age doesn't increase the chances that they will be disappointed in life....lol"

Can you please reread what I wrote and understand it? Why would someone downgrade from a G35 when its already paid for? I am not talking now, I am talking about the future. You obviously didnt understand what I wrote... Either that or you're just too ignorant to want to understand it in the first place.

"I notice a lot of ppl on here brag about how they worked their asses to be where they are at. I'm sure your parents were the one to paid your way through college and raised u. Don't act like you did it on your own"

Oh you're so sure aren't you?? IN FACT I PAID MY ENTIRE COLLEGE BY MYSELF - Its called taking out loans and paying them back. Quit rushing to judgement buddy. In fact, I can act like I did it on my own because I did. You really should just quit posting in this thread right about now. You are completely posting crap anyways.

Now, i really am going to let this topic go.

Re: Maturity in this forum.

I never said downgrade now. Do you understand that? I said, why would someone even downgrade later on? If you have a g35 thats paid for, why trade it in for something of less value??

Dude, don't think that you are better than everyone just because you so supposely paid for your own schooling. Its not my fault your parents don't love you.

Re: Maturity in this forum.

I seriously doubt a car close to the g35 in 20 years would be 100k. How would anyone be able to afford anything other than a geo metro then? Unless of course, everyone would be gettin paid twice what they are now, which will even out, no?

Why would I go out and try to showoff by buying an expensive car when I don't even have a house to live in? You have to understand, if you can't really afford it, don't buy it.

These are my statements, who are you to tell me I'm gonna regret it later?

If i become a millionaire then fine, I will take my word back, but until then I have better priorities then spending 50k on a car.

Re: Maturity in this forum.

Well in 1992 I bought a Saturn SL1 for $10,395 including tax, title, tag, financing OTD. Today that same Saturn equivalent, a 2004 Saturn ION Red Line 4dr Coupe (2.0L 4cyl 5 speed manual) runs for $20,385 MSRP without any of the Tax, tag, title, financing, fees, etc... according to Edmunds.com That is a base model car that has more than doubled in 12 years. I don't think the example was too far off base for a 20 year period. Infact, I think it was pretty darn close.

<font color=blue>The above statements are only my take on the issue. If you disagree with anything I typed then you are 100% right!</font color=blue>

Re: Maturity in this forum.

lol, that's a good way to lighten up the mood. I didn't want to say anything, but I guess I'll put in my comments for the heck of it.

My first car was a '01 Lexus IS300. I leased it with my own money, just had my mom co-sign for it since I didn't have a good credit rating since I was so young. I worked 2 jobs during college (PC Tech, Network consultant) so that I could afford it. My brothers, who are out of the house already, immediately thought that our parents were paying for it since it's a Lexus and fought with my parents for a great length of time. That really got me ticked off... but I decided not to say anything. To this day, I don't speak to them much as they went on assuming that my parents were the ones who bought it for me...

Anyways, to the young guys/girls who are receiving the G35 from their parents.. just enjoy it. Don't mind the haters on here who think they have any say on what you own and what business that is yours. Just make sure to remind yourself that your parents love you very much and to show them respect. Do something for them once in awhile, like take them out to dinner. They will know you're appreciative of what they do for you.

Re: Maturity in this forum.

but ppl are making much more than what they did 12 years ago. I know you have a good point, because in time everything gets more expensive. The concept of cars will be totally different then. They aren't gonna make average cars that no one can afford to buy.

I agree, we are all complete strangers. who are we to have a say in what anyone will do with their life and how they spend their money?

Re: Maturity in this forum.

"Spoiled" is all relative. No one on here is gonna call a kid who just got $400 iPod for Christmas, spoiled. But I am sure about 40% (if not more) of America, would. Someone mentioned it a few posts ago, that it has all to do with the means. Celeb's kids get SL55s and Porsche Carerra's for their 16th birthdays...and their parents can afford it. My parents bought me a used $4000 Jetta when I turned 16, because that's what was affordable. Some people can afford to buy their kids Gs and some can afford to buy them Porsches...it's all relative.

..just my 2 pennies...

Re: Maturity in this forum.

GG35, I've worked since I was 12 years old, collecting cans to buy my first Nintendo game system. I paid for every year I went to college through my own funds and am currently paying for my masters as we speak. Many, many, people have to do everything on their own, and if you can't respect that, then everything you've been saying is pure B.S. Don't tell me to act like I did it on my own, because I did, and I'm damn proud of it.
