...unnecessary.
To the OP test drive both and make your own decision. Personally, I wouldn't even consider an auto unless I had low 12 second car that would benefit more from an auto.
However, like others said the 6MT G is absolutely terrible driving in the city (on a daily basis). The manual transmission on the G is probably the worst I have ever driven.

Wow, really? What other's have you driven? I can tell you that the G35 manual is a cake walk compared to that on the 996 Turbo and the F355 Spyder I got to drive before. Even the manual on my STi is more difficult. It's not as slick as the NSX and Boxster, but definetly liveable in traffic.

Never driven a 996/F355/NSX (lucky) but I would imagine the F355 being the most "sensitive".

Pretty much most cars in the tuner scene. S2K, RSX-S/SI, Evo, GTI, TL-S, E92 335i/M3. The WRX I drove was pretty close to the G but I still think the G is worst, never driven an STi though. I sometimes feel the pedal is inconsistent on the G depending on the weather.

The NSX was like butter. The F355 was a beating...but oh so worth it.

I test drove both before deciding on a manual. My jeep was a six speed and so much easier to drive than this thing but Im getting used to it haha

i m not taking sides but man whats wrong living with your own family? it does not make you a loser unless you are not working and they pay for everything.
i left my family when i was 18 (i moved to different city-now country) if they were close to me i would still live with them until have a common law spouse or wife.
why u guys imply living with family as an insult.
but about the language going on in the previous posts, if u dont respect to other users (new/old does not matter) u will get flamed,
back to the subject, I like my 5at am pretty comfortable with it, but there are times when i just wanna shift fast ,little tire action while changing gear is pretty cool. i guess if i ever buy another coupe i ll go back manual!

It kills me, especially on this forum. There is a lot of guys that can't act like the adults they are.
