Buying a used G35-What to look for?

I am getting a 2003 G35 Coupe soon, its got 104k miles on it and needs some TLC, but I am getting the (clear titled) car for $5500

I know basicly what to look for-oil leaks, noises, trans fluid, just regular common things to go out/bad, but what are these vehicles prone to having problems with?

Thanks in advance

Seems too good to be true. Have you seen the car in person?

I sold a 90 200k+ miles Toyota Celia for $2500. Something is wrong with that price. Check to make sure it wasn't in any accident. Check the windows and windshields for melt dots caused by spark from grinding. Check to make sure the numbers on the glass match. If they don't they have been replaced from either accident or break in. That's what the guy who did my tint told me. Can someone with body shop experience confirm that?

I wasn't happy to find out my car was hit and the dealer didn't tell me. Hope that help.

The original asking price was $8,000. Which sounded reasonable. He had it for sale for awhile and I was really the only one interested in it. I saw it briefly and he said if I can get it by the end of the month its $5500. It needs new fenders, mirrors, and some body work to the passengers side (a 6'' oval dent). Tires are bald as well.
I have seen it, briefly. I will look over the entire car, thats a good idea about the windows. Thanks.

I am going to do a compression test on it as well, and run a carfax.

I am a Chrysler/ASE certified mechanic, in a few areas.

I was just asking about specific little things that these cars are prone to. Examples: Oil consumption, the small leak sometimes present by the 6th cylinder coil pack frm the valve cover, etc. I don't know alot about this specific model of car and where the weaknesses are.

If it's a manual, check the trans as most have issues. Automatics are bulletproof. Other than that, check the usual....tires ,compression rods, window motors, actuators, cd changer. Most can be fixed reasonably. Trans and engine oil consumption are biggest and most expensive issues. Good luck. The price is right.

I will check the trans fluid and make sure tis clean(ish) and that theres no shavings in it. I'll put it in the manual mode as well and make sure it shifts smoothly in both modes.

If it uses oil i'll probabally just go a different route on modifications with the little extra money I have. I planned to get the whole car painted a diffrent color, but if need be I can get it rebuilt and boosted and just get the body panels that need to be fixed painted the original silver color, which I wouldn't mind a bit.

i looked at an 05 6mt coupe today. it didnt pass the dealers inspection due to a broken flex pipe. Need new tires. They claimed the engine was damp around the oil pan. Is a product of the oil consumption issue? I going to test drive it friday when i have time.
The intake front feed tube thing was missing Im assuming it was modded somehow? but not really sure

check your a/c when i bought my car that's one thing that didnt really occur to me and I ended up having to replace my A/C run your A/C and see if it affects your belts cuz sometimes mine squeeks on start up. check for camber wear on your wheels and suspension. and check if it has the right spare tire just incase. They gave me a small little 16" spare tire that doesn't even clear brembos still riding spareless. deal sounds too good to be true
