i have 300 cell High Flow cats. i never had problems with the light being on before. i have tried Reset. The ECU but no help. Im going to try to get the code today, but im wondering if i need to replace the sensors. my warranty ended last month so they cant help. i search but found nothing. any help is welcome. thanks guys.
so i went back and they gave me the code. Its PO420- CATALYST EFFICIENCY BELOW THRESHOLD (BLANK 1).... what is that? do i have 2 remove them. i dont want it 2 affect my performance. thanks

First, you need to buy TWO pairs of the non-foulers at the local auto parts store. One pair needs the small hole to be drilled out with a 1/2" drill bit or whatever will allow the O2 sensor tip to clear it. Once one set is drilled out, you take a drilled non-fouler and screw it onto the O2 sensor. Then take the NON-drilled one and screw it onto the DRILLED one. So the order goes, O2 sensor-->Drilled-->Non-drilled-->cat.
The goal here is to take the O2 sensor out of the direct exhaust stream and isolate it somewhat. I had this setup with my test pipes for 2 years and never had a SES light once.

crazy stuff bro. is there pics or a DIY on how 2 do it. thanks for ur help
Do the ECU reset method here http://www.technosquareinc.com/350reset.htm and then do the spark plug "non-fouler" trick.

you will have to use the O2 defouler method discussed above. W/ test pipes you have no cats so the car will throw cat efficency codes like the OP (his codes are probably from the HFC's not heating up to the appropriate temp.). So you will either have to do the defouler method or O2 sims.

You just buy 2 pairs of non-foulers at any Auto parts store. Thread an undrilled one (small hole on the end) into the cat. Then take the other one and drill out the small hole with a 1/2" bit or whatever will allow the O2 sensor tip to clear the hole. After it is drilled, thread it into the one already in the cat. Now thread the O2 sensor into the end of the drilled one. Done.
Remember, this is only to be done on the O2 sensors in the cat (closest to the rear of the car). DO NOT do this on the ones closest to the engine or it will totally screw up your fuel/air mix.
