You should drive it for a while, to get used to it, then decide for yourself what you want to do first.

Welcome to the forum.

I've had mine just now 1 year..
already put 35K miles on it..

only have clear corners, factory tint, and begun work on my entertainment package in the car.
so far
Pioneer DVD3200 with the XM and BT modules.
and a Custom 12 inch Kicker box and L7 Memphis amp install just last weekend.

now to replace all the factory Bose speakers with good stuff as well.
Then start on the outside of the car.. .. god the list never ends..

Also interested in the pros and cons with installing a factory vs. aftermarket nav system to a non-nav model.. Go with a factory unit or custom aftermarket install?

stock NAV was terrible. the one on my Android phone is 100x better than the stock one.. and its always updated software wise for free.

I'd go after market or just mount your phone and use GoogleNav.
a garmin is cheaper and better as well.

The stock nav truely is terrible. Everytime I would use it in a trip I would tell myself "as soon as I get home ima post a rant on it on g35driver" lol.

Congratulations. I recommend driving the car for a while and figuring out what it needs (if anything).

Common things are compression rod bushings, transverse link bushings, and checking/changing your fluids/belts. I doubt you'll have any rear susp/rear subframe/diff bushing issues at this milage unless the car was tracked.

If these things are good, I would step into modding.

I am just getting into modding at this point. I just spent about 1500 on maintenance parts on my G and it is well worth the time and money if you need it (I had 89K at the time of purchase, nearly double your mileage, but now the car drives close to what new would feel like).

My first set of mods is going to be a spacer, Koni shocks, and GT SPEC chassis braces.

I'd do a search if you have a question and just read. This forum has a ton of info.

Yo Radoncic90,

Not sure what research you've done, what you've found,or all of what you have in mind - DIY or otherwise, but here's some stuff you might like.

**BLACK GRILLE MOD:

https://g35driver.com/forums/body-in...le-w-pics.html

**5AT SHIFTER DIRECTIONAL MOD (2 methods) - to include one for removing the console (last link):

https://g35driver.com/forums/engine-...ction-mod.html

https://g35driver.com/forums/engine-...direction.html

https://g35driver.com/forums/audio-v...irius-sat.html

Anyway, you got what appears to be a steal - an '03 w/only 51K miles , which I can dig 'cause I have had a 2006 since Nov. '06 that'll hit 30K next month.......averaging just over 6,700/year.

And from what I hear, that far away from 9-10K/year is "extra-pampered". a.k.a., 2 steps from a trailer queen........not a bad thing by any stretch.

Thus, when my math tells me that yours was driven anywhere from 400 to 700 or so miles LESS per year?

You got over, not to mention, if the previous owners were anything like me, you will never have any problems but normal wear & tear.

('Bout a year ago a buddy got one w/over 100K, runs it hard............yet, not a hiccup to this day.)

Well, sounds like you're looking to put together one bada-- G, so please do post some pics!!

Similarly, red's not my 1st choice either, but I KNOW could still do some serious work on a red one.

Oh yeah, you done good, and I suspect yours will be quite the looker/performer.

I leave you with what I always tell myself:

Take it easy, if you want, drive it like you stole it (the VQ35 likes to run)......always adhering to Road Rule #1:

SAFETY FIRST - NO TICKETS (dammit!) - KEEP 'ER OUTTA THE DITCH

Nuff said. I'm gone.

At first i was skeptical about buying the g35(03) in red but i said **** it il make it look fresh and yea its a 5AT.

First thing is tints..i feel 20 percent in the 2 front windows and 5% on the back .

Also another question .. the front grill i want to paint black, should i paint or buy new grill?

And is it possible to have a navi installed ..maybe from a 04-06 g ?

Tail lights tinted ? Im leaning more on the no for some reason
