2004 Infiniti g35 5A/T Full bolt on bhp?

Hi everyone,

Well I have a 2004 Infiniti G35 with the 5at (I was wondering more or less how much BHP I could have with the mods I have.) I seem to be able to stick with the 2007 - 2008 350z on highways till around 4th gear going towards 5th. Both AT and MT. I generally am faster than the 2003 - 2006 350z and g35 I've seen around here. I would pull a couple of car lengths on them. (I am planning on getting next the Kinetix High flow cats or maybe those Motordyne ART pipes... and hopefully a tune... someday...)

Mod list:

1. Injen short ram CAI 3".
2. Apexi WS2 Exhaust.
3. DC Sport Racing headers.
4. Stillen Grounding cables.
5. Motordyne Plenum Spacer 5/16"
- Other...
6. Godspeed Camber and toe kit. (Front and back.)
7. 20" Petrol rims...
8. Front tires (20/35/255), Back (20/30/275)...
9. Eibach Racing Lowering springs.

Thank you. =)

They must be bad drivers.

Only a dyno can give you the answer.

Id def add new cats and tune to that list and you may be where you want. Btw get ART pipes not HFCs, research and you'll learn why!

Bench racing at it's best . I'll play.

With your mods its almost a wash...a few hp over stock due to losses from some mods and gains from others.
So in other words...no gains.
I've yet to be impressed by our cars modded in N/A form. .....

get a dyno and we'll know for sure. too bad there wont be a baseline. but from that list maybe exhaust and spacer give gains. headers and cai don't do much for our cars. get some test pipes and a tune and maybe you'll beat lightly modded 350z's

Your intake will most likely cause a loss in hp. The OEM has been proven to be pretty much the best performace wise, most others cause a drop in peak power. Your wheels, extra unsprung weight which requires more energy from the engine to rotate. Another loss.
Add up the gains from your Exhaust and spacer, then subtract the two losses...Simple math.

Do a little research and you will see that hp gains vary from car to car due to variable factors...Hence the "bench racing" comment.
What one person gains does not equate to what you will gain.
We are talking about a few hp, nothing that you would ever notice.
Manufacture claims and actual gains are two totally different stories. The only true way to know if you gained anything is to dyno your car before the mods then dyno again on the same dyno afterwards duplicating the initial conditions.

I am not trying to be an ***, but there is no set gain for a mod. You cant add the "claimed gains" for each mod to figure out your hp.

I understand. I did do a dyno once but the mechanic who was suppose to be the one who knew how to use it most likely had no idea how to use the dyno because I got around 150whp which makes no sense at all... That was prior to the camber kit, grounding cables and the spacer.

you need an uprev/osirus tune bad....it will help with air/fuel ratios and tie in all the mods you have...without the tune its pretty much useless.

i have an 04 6mt coupe which is an NA build...putting down 275 whp with the DE motor...not bad..stock dyno was 222 whp....i have CAI,plenum, cams, headers,HFC's,TD exhaust and the osirus tune.

You are probably a bit over stock, maybe bhp equal to that of stock revup's. But with gearing added in you are very likely still slower than 6mt's. As far as your races, driver error is likely the explanation for those occurrences.

also your are choking your car at the cats....you need test pipes or hfc's..plus smaller wheels for quicker acceleration.

Yes. I was actually thinking about going with the Uprev/Osiris as soon as I finish with the boltons. I was planning on getting those Motordyne ART pipes prior to the tune though. Does it make any difference that i am a 0ft sea level. What would be an estimate bhp with all those mods? What kind of power increase can I expect? lol. It's usually around 90 degrees Fahrenheit here? I live in the Republic of Panama. Central america. We have a lot of humidity here as well. lol.
