"service engine soon" =x

ok so i had a check engine light on and the codes where knock sensor and camshaft position sensor. so i took it to the dealer and they changed the camshaft sensor for 800 dollars, but 2 weeks later the same symptoms come back. my G randomly has no power to it but when i close the door the power comes back. and again when i try to start her up it cranks and doesnt start till after 5 tries. is my camshaft sensor bad again?!?! has this ever happend to you?

$800 sounds ridiculous. There's some certified techs on here, curious to see what they say. Definitely search through the DIY section and avoid going to stealerships whenever possible.

....^....Amen! But since you already did, take it back telling them you want it fix right this time! You're far better off going to Nissan for service, cost is less and the mechanics are better trained. $800= to change a cam sensor, that even hurts me!

Yah.. take it back.. You should get the service that you payed them to do and if you think they didn't change it then get it checked by a another dealership to just confirm that they changed it. Good luck!!

That sucks, tell them they never fixed your problem. Ask to talk to their manager and let him know you are very upset that you paid $800 and the problem was not fix, make a big deal about it. Hopefully they will not charge you.

Seriously, $200 for a process that takes less than a minute? That's worse than the normal crap Infiniti service pulls, do like Ismooth81 mentioned....raise some hell cause they never fixed the issue for the $800 you were charged they just cleared the error code! What B.S.!

Thats insane, just order it online and have one of your local mechanics install it. These dealers fix it temporarily and then you come back again for the same problems. My car doesn't see dealers only my mechanic does.
