Finally Found a G Coupe, buttttttttttttt...
It's salvaged!
Okay hear me out, I'd like some opinions.
2003 DG G35 Coupe with black interior and 6MT. It has 83K on the clock, and the owner wants 8500 for it.
Before you ask, no I don't know why it's salvaged. I am still waiting on the VIN so I can run a CarFax report.
And I don't have any pics either, but I'm going to check it out on Friday and I'll post some then if anyone is curious.
My question however is, considering there is no frame or floor damage, what would you do? In all honesty, I'm just looking at it for shxts and giggles. I'm looking at another one this weekend as well. Figured I'd give this one a view just because.

Thanks guys. I know most of you are advising me to search, but believe me, I've been searching intensively off and on for a year or more. It's difficult finding black on black, 6MT and Brembos under 100K miles in respectable condition.
Affalterbach, that's exactly how much they're going for here. Although 05s seem to go for a tad bit higher than the 12-15K range. They usually fall in the 16-17 depending on mileage. Everything else is spot on. I was just surprised to see a G coupe under 10K. It's the first coupe I've seen under 10K in the year and a half or so I've been searching for one.
So, I guess I'll ask this... Would any of you own a salvaged G? Or do any of you own a G that is salvaged? You can PM me if you don't want to post I'm just curious of your thoughts. Thanks again!

Buying any car with a salvaged title you're taking a risk. The price may be low but you may have to invest the cost of the car in the first year of ownership just to keep it running. Even if you don't the resale value w/b in the toilet. Marc, maybe you should consider another color, Ivory Pearl or if you could find one Twilight Blue like mine.

Nothing wrong with a salvaged car if its fixed correctly
Ive owned several and never had any problems. If you like getting your hands dirty and working on your own stuff, salvage vehicles are fine. 1/2 the people on this forum prob own a car thats been repaired at one point and they dont even know it.
If you know what to look for, ie: cut lines in paint, welding seams... go for it, otherwise have a body guy you trust look at it to see if it was repaired incorrectly, then steer clear

Must have been from an auction bc that is waaay under book value. I got my 04 with 85k for 13,000. Seems to be the average range for east coast G's. I always see west coast G's for a few grand cheaper but def not that cheap. Good luck and like another user said, carfax isn't 100%. have a trustworthy mechanic take a good look and you should be fine.

I understand a lot of you are saying I shouldn't fall in love with the first car I see, but I'm not. As I mentioned, I've been searching for awhile, this just happens to be the cheapest one I've came across that is still under 100K.
I do love IP on willow, but finding one in the area that's a 6MT is incredibly rare. What year(s) was Twilight Blue available?
Thanks faiz, that was a big help. PM'd you btw.
To all the people saying that 8500 is too much for a salvaged 03 with 83K on the clock, how much should I pay for it if I were to buy it?
