Frustrating Rattle Sound Upon Acceleration

Hello.

Upon acceleration in any gear I get an intermittent rattle. It mostly occurs in 2nd/3rd. The problem is it does not occur every time I get on the throttle. I took it to the dealer and they replaced the AC compressor, which did diminish it a bit; but it is still there.

It sounds like marbles in a can. Sometimes it is loud; others it is barely noticeable. Anyone have this issue too?

Well I have the same problem with my 05 coup in first gear when on the gas and gos away after fist gear sounded like a heat sheled but that was not it so we put the car on my friends rack and and had him run it threw first gear well up in the air and we found that when u put the motor under a load it twists the drive line and exhaust just enuff To make the exhaust hit the diferenchel housing or pumpkin not
Bad just enuff to drive u nuts and make u think the heat sheled is falling off if u grab your exhaust tip right or left an shake it side to side u will feel it hit just barely so far no fix but I have some ideas hope this helps if u have any ?s just ask

If it sounds like a heat shield, then you guys might want to check for a piece that runs along the muffler going wheel to wheel. It's a metal piece that has a triangular shape if you look at it from the side, and is there strictly for aerodynamics, comes loose and rattles like an annoying heat shield.

+1. I bottom out my car on speed bump once and the exhaust mounting bracket near the transmission broke and rattle like crazy. It took me a while to figure it out. I have the timing change, flush all fluids, and check a bunch of stuff. In the end, it was a $15 welding job that fix the thing.
