Why is not having a sunroof desirable to enthusiasts?

Yeah, but people in general never seem to want to have any sort of open windows at all it seems.
Up here in the northeast, i notice nobody really seems to enjoy windows down motoring anymore. We go from the heat in the winter, directly to AC when the first warm day in spring arrives. People seem to totall ignore the month or so of perfect sunroof open, windows down weather.
I have my sunroof open whenever possible. Even in the winter, it's at least popped up for ventilation. But as soon as it hits 50/60 degrees, if it's sunny out i'll open it.

Heh... I have my windows in the car open all the time, regardless of how cold it is out. They are always wide open in the warm weather and about half to 1/3 open in the freezing cold winter weather except when driving down the highway. Needless to say, same thing with the sunroof. Of course, I also ride a naked/unfaired sport-motorcycle almost all year long in Massachusetts provided that there isn't snow on the ground, so maybe that has something to do with an obvious desire to be in open elements as much as possible.

Motor junk? the switch has failed? A broken/shorted wire? Until we know that, "how much" is unknown
