Question 03' g35 coupe;Engine Light just turned on, help!

alright, so i bought this 03'g35 gray coupe and its a Beast. I call it "Barbatus!"

anyhow, Barbatus's engine light turned on yesterday. went to autozone, got it scanned, and codes are of the following: P1759 & P0326 (nothing else)

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Troubleshooting P1759
-front break solenoid valve function probable cause
-open or short circuit condition
-poor electrical connection
-faulty front break solenoid valve
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Troubleshooting P0236
-knock sensor condition explanation: the powertrain control module monitors the knock sensor signal for errors. probable cause
-knock sensor defective
-check connector and wiring to sensor
-engine mechanical condition-knock or rattle in engine
-low fuel pressure
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

last week and this week ran to work just on time, woke up late. warmed the car for like 3 whole minutes. both time when i reach my destination, few 8 hours later. had tranny oil on the ground. (pink and clearish color oil), i would say a total of half a mug of oil. between the first and second time barbatus leaked, the cars initial acceleration is lacking. i let go of the pedal and let rpms settle and it run again on the second attempt.. this has happend about 2-3 times... note:low accelation.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

can someone walk me thru on checking each probable causes, to verify myself. i really would love to know my vehicle...

If you know how to do an ohm reading see if the knock sensor is open or closed, otherwise try replacing the knock sensor.

Welcome to Driver, congratulations you have a brain!

Glad to see a new member that is smart enough to check the codes when trouble shows up on your dash. It's important your issues get resolved without driving your G for any length of time. Take it to your mechanic or Nissan and get everything fixed especially the tranny leak!

Indeed gary. As u can see. Its been almost a week or so. Ive went ahead today and open the intake manifold. I was able of course to remove the upper half. To remove the lower half was a pain. There were a nut infront of the manifold and another on the back side. These 2 nuts were actually driving me nuts. I attempted to remove but almost stripped it. So i stopped. Are these the nuts i need to remove for the lower part of the manifold?

We here on the forum have heard horror stories of using non-OEM fluid. The Matic fluid has some unique additives others may not. I wouldn't recommend saving a few bucks on the transmission fluid change, but it is up to you.

Not sure the bolt, but http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/G35/". Not sure if that worked...
