Hit a WALL of WATER!
Going home and I see this VAN in front of me slowing down...well I start to slow down and too late...i hit a big wall of water (so-cal flood) as high as the top of my front bumper. My girlfriend who was behind me saw this huge splash up (higher than the car) and me bulldoze right through it. Totally freaked me out but the car didn't stutter or lose traction. Got home, checked out the engine bay and saw that it was dry. Also checked to see if there were damages and saw none. What a car!

BTW, what will happen if the air filter gets wet? (hydrolock?). Does anyone know a G with hydrolock on stock intake?

I'm beginning to think that I don't live in the desert anymore. Here in Vegas we have surpassed our yearly average for rainfall...and it's only February. For a town that is supposed to have 350+ sunny days a year, this is nuts. I bet we have only had 10 truly sunny days in the past month and a half. I'm moving to Seattle...

Dang... Didn't wash your G in a Week... Oh no... Even if it's raining in the islands... I'm out there washing... Especially after driving in the rain... It's a most to wash and jack up the G and wipe the pipes... hahahaha... joking about jacking up the car... If i had a lift... I would definitely be doing it... I'm a clean car freak...

Depends on the dealership. I remember about 8 months ago when FL was having all of the rain and hurricanes, the Tampa dealership had 6 or 8 G's with stock intakes experience hydro-lock. It is much less common, however it still happens and will continue to happen until we can figure out how to make compressible water.

Most importantly, I was cruising at 1 am with noone around... I could have hit someone while the car fishtailed. Now, I cruise around 45 mph in heavy rain and on slippery roads.

I garaged the b***h this week and whenever it rains due to the thin layer of water on the freeways here in SoCal as well as the damn potholes/sinkholes that arise. Imm give the city a week or so to fix the main big ones...don't wanna damage my rims..some of these potholes you guys won't believe it, but almost half of my OEM 19's can fall into if I drove into it....holes so big that even SUV's go around them!
