Throttle body and idle issues
Throttle body and idle issues
I recently did some work on my car and removed the throttle body. I did the reset procedure, however, the car still won't idle right and the car smells funny. Do you disconnect the battery and drain the capacitors? How do I get my car to run right again?
PS
No O2 sensor issues, the car has less than 84K on it.

You need to do the idle air recalibration, Section EC - Engine Controls, page 79 of the FSM

NDS2 is easier but you need to buy the app and have an Android phone with a OBD2 BT adaptor.

No torque doesn't have that ability.

Just do the pedal dance method, use a stopwatch because the seconds counts need to be exact.

Idle air control cel
I have a 2003 g35. Just bought off a friend, had to replace 02 sensor for emissions. Had an idle air control cel, friend read somewhere that replacing throttle body would fix. No big deal took care of it but the cel keeps coming back for the same issue. Idle relearn went fine but cant get this cleared to pass emissions.
