g35 v. s2000
...so there we were, at the traffic light on 202. My buddy in his s2000 starts reving that thing up to 7-8 grand. I must admit, I was a little nervous given the reputaion of those little beasts. However, I was confident in my coupe (just installed the cats last week). I'm feathering the clutch at 1500-2000 (please God, don't burn it). The light changes, I let off the clutch and DAMN! my tires are sticking and I'm pulling away commandingly! All that I hear besides my cats, is his HKS exhaust behind me! We raced 2 times with the same results and he gave me my props, even start, plenty of room. I can't believe the power of tis car if you just allow it to breath better with a few simple mods.

The crawford cats alone have been "reported" as a gain of 20 - 25 hp at the wheels. that is a 10% gain, that is huge. A super charger is a 50% gain. so the cats alone are 1/5 of a super charger. THat is big... but I guess if you have unlimited funds and have increased hp by 100% then 10 is no big deal.
As a disclaimer, all of that information is reported from what I have read around the forums, I don't have them on my car.

I raced a buddy in my 04 5AT also. From a stop I brake torqued to around 1200RPMs while he dropped the clutch at 6,200RPMs [my redline...just for kicks] He got me by about half a car up to 85mph.
We also raced from a 20mph roll where I honked - therefore got the jump and I won by around 1/2 - 1 car up to 95ish.
He has exhaust and intake.
I have intake.

I would have to say Apple to Apple, 350Z vs S2000 is the correct way as compose to G35C vs M3
I have the video of S2000 vs G35 vs 350 vs RX8 vs Miata vs RSX vs WRX
Pretty awesome video and you can learn it.

20-25 hp is quite a lot? Not trying to knock you or anything but is this true or just a guestimate?
