Does anyone else ever think this?......
I could really swear that sometimes my car feels faster than others? Taking into account weather conditions, heat, humidity, etc, I would swear that my ECU plays tricks on me, I know it is not a mechanical thing? I truly believe that car feels slower some of the time, anyone else encountered this? I have reset the ECU and personally did not feel any effects from that. I am really sure it is not my mind playing tricks on me!

There are many atmospheric variables that can affect performance- it's not your imagination. Hot dry days, your perfornance is off a little from cool damp days.
Altitude affects it too, sea level being the best.
Only other thing I can think of is gasoline variances and brands. (within the same grade- ie 91 octane). Some brands seem to run better than others in our engines.

car motors run more efficiently when the air is cool and moist. That is y your car runs better or "faster" in the morning or just after it rains. Try it, you will notice the difference. Not exactly sure why, but my guess would be because there is more oxygen ava. to burn for a more complete combustion. The cooler air also aids in optimal engine temp.
