Shifting (RPM) POWER

What RPM do you guy drive and shift at ( normal driving ). What if considered safe? What is considered not safe? (or closer to danger zone)

POWER!!! Where does the power band lie? ie; what is the rang to get the most power out of the G. (4-5k RPM) (5-6K RPM) (6-7k RPM) .

Thanks guys,

Check out the Drivers Manual, it tells you what Rpm you should shift at for every gear, i'd say shifting between 3-4K is safe ... The Power Band Obviously lies right at redline, before hitting the Limiter. When you hit the Limiter you obv. lose some speed and power.

As far as daily driving I probably shift gears right before 3k RPM; I drive more conservative than other though (my factory rear tires lasted 37k miles).

it's a freaking car guys and a sports car at that. Taking it to the red line is not going to kill it.

Power drops off pretty much after 6.5k, a shift at that rpm brings you back into the good part of the torque band.
Normal everyday, non spirited shifting is prolly good anywhere from 2 - 3k

I'd say the most power for me is around 4.5-6K rpms. Like Gsedanman said, when you get closer to redline, the power drops - you can see that on any Dyno machine.

As far as safety goes, I'd think that as long as you are not hitting redline on a regular basis (i.e. every time you shift), you should be ok.
