Tank overflowed at the Gas station today!

Agreed that stupid sponge is better; I use the "dirty, filthy, disgusting sponge" and wipe it down with a few towels.
I've only had it burp up once in a blue moon with just a little gas; never had it spill or spray. I always wiped it up right away, and I have never noticed any paint damage from it.
Hasn't anyone else noticed the TSB that came out recently for this problem?

Sorry to hear that Chaz. I never fill up all the way. I let it go to empty and put 25$ which fills a little more than half. That way, the car is lighter and faster. Before and after fueling, I always shake the nozzle so that no fuel drips to my car.

Interesting. I just filled up 4 or 5 times to cover a 1200 mile road trip, didn't have one problem. then today i go to fill up and sure enough, damn thing keeps clicking off. i finally gave up after only filling half the tank.
no big deal, just annoying if your in a hurry
Ironically this happend to me today. I went to fill up and at 8 gallons it stopped. Acted as if it was full. I had one other time it over flow as stated in the first post.
