Ahh this definatly made my decision in getting a 06, now just to wait. Does anyone know if they are getting rid of any colors for 06 or keeping them all and just adding the Silver one.

If I'm not mistaken, the entry/exit assist is the function where the seat retracts all the way back upon exiting the car. And when you re-enter, the seat automatically adjusts back to your preset position. Thats how my 02 I35 worked. Thing was, I had my seat so far back, it really didn't matter the extra inch or so it moved.

I actually shut that feature off. Never made a bit of sense to me.
I guess if your under 5"2" it maybe useful, but other than that it was added cost for little or no use at all.

Maybe if the steering wheel telescoped back in, and the wheel raised to the full up position along with the seat going back, it might very well be an added welcome.

Wow

Bex,

You deserve a raise.

You're not going to get one; but you're deserving all the same.

Ohhh, is the Fall 2005 issue going to be HOT.

In the mail in about 4 weeks.

Bob

I forgot what the difference between HICAS and the Super HICAS system?

If a redesign does happen its going to be for 08 for both sedan or coupe and at the latest 09 or 10. I am thinking if there is going to be a rise in price its only going to be the 1.5k for the HICAS option and a $500 for the base models if the xeon lights are standard. I think I remeber seeing a pic of an 05 Japan sedan interiror pic with bluetooth. I dont think bluetooth will any cost to the cars price, from what I read there was no increase when BMW put it on their cars.

Next project for G owners 06 headlights. Last time it was the rear tail lights for the sedan people.

I wonder what new things the Z is going to get.

I believe the Z received new headlights, new LED taillights, and a redesigned front bumper. That's all I know of cosmetically. Not sure what it received on the inside.

Well according to one dealer here, the only changes to the 06 is the intelligent key. Another dealer said the only change he knew of was the new color, but also added that there could be other changes but he is not aware of it. The same dealer is also taking deposits right now, and says the delivery will be Oct 1st. He is not taking orders though, since he doesnt have the details yet.

Not to mention we don't have to work for another 18 HP or the OEM 19s.

And if yall thought that our headlights were hot now, wait till the 06s come out...thieves will have a new aim....

I think that the "redesigned tailights" will be (hopefully) the same ones we have, only that the lights will light two circles (like the GT-R) instead of one. I hope its this, cuz that way we could def have a retrofit right?

What the hell do they mean by... "automatic entry/exit assist"?

As for the changes, I only envy Bluetooth (cuz im gonna get a nokia 8801 when it comes out, but aftermarket is the clear option), the projectors, and the keyless entry (I wish it were keyless entry + start BUTTON instead of turning ****).

Not nearly enough to regret trading my 04 for the 05. I dont like the looks of the G w/a spoiler. The way I see it (for me):

04 = +(Brembos; 18" rim design) -(ulgy interior; too many rattles)
05 = +(More HP; Great interior dials; steering wheel; trim; center console; VLSD; MP3; lighter clutch) -(brakes; not-so-good-looking rims)
06 = +(Bluetooth; keyless entry; headlights) -(Spoiler on 6MT;

As for the "Vehicle-speed-sensitive power steering" I believe its the same thing that BMW made. When you are at high speeds, turning the steering wheel yields to less tire movement. If it is this, WOW that alone makes me happy I have an 05. I'd hate to have to adjust to turning wheel more at higher speeds to get the results of a little turn on normal speed.

Ok..I'll admit it. I am an '05 owner who is sad about these changes. They are nice and I applaud Nissan for making them but I wanted the projectors, Ikey and Bluetooth pretty badly. Oh well..........

I envy the Bluetooth too.

Are there any pictures of Nokia's 8801 with the keyboard cover off? It seems like they took a nice "candy bar" design and turned it into a "clamshell."

My buddy just bought an '06 325i. I drove the car around 400 miles and I couldn't get adjusted to the steering. Its not intuitive. I can't imagine what kind of trouble I would get in on a track! Not to hate completely though - I'm sure one would get used to it after a while . . maybe?

to each his own i guess. whats so cool about dials. i like it when i can adjust the temp 1-2 degrees w/ only a couple of presses w/o having to look. aluminum maybe better than plastic in terms of materials, but who's got the better overall design is subjective. if the nav part was aluminum too then the 05 would be a lot lot better. clock? wherever you place it it's the same, it's still a clock on the dash. they can relocate it again on the 06, and its still a clock on the dash.
