Wow G35_TX. I am always a fan of you and Klumzyee when it comes to the 05's. I believe you both had the 03-04 before and now the 05, right? Well, I would have to say, if you leave out the interior, then it boils down to brakes and engine. Now, that leads us to moding. If you don't ever want to mod, then I say the 05 wins due to the engine and lose slightly to the brakes (but man, that damn gold color is so ugly). If you do mod, then the 03-04 wins with what is available to them (although now with the new Motordyne Mod, this is now looking like an 05 win) but will lose to the brakes since this is pretty much the only good thing on the 03-04's and you are going to replace them with some BBK's (you are better off without GOLD color brakes anyways :P ).

Anywho, I like the G, never had any serious problems with it, and it gets complimented weekly. So, I say we should all be happy and not worry about which is better. In the end, I say nearly all of us are Moding the cars so what is left isn't much of what was started with: The HP, TQ, looks, Brakes, and etc. will all change anyways. It's almost a moot point then. We should just be happy we didn't buy the 330ci and then regret it when a G rolls by with the nice Stock exhaust sound

A 350z had Brembo brake problems after 3-4 runs at the autox 2 events ago. I had my 05 and did all the runs without a problem. His were squealing like mad, and the tech people asked him to not run again till he fixed the problem. Found out his pads were glazed badly.

They are no smoother than our 05 brakes.
Wait, you mean the 05's Non-Brembo's, right? I'm a bit confused on that part. The 05's didn't come with Brembo's, unless you meant the Z

The 05 use to be not known for modding well till recently with the new motordyne kit proving the 05 is the car to have if you want to mod.

But personally if you want to go FI on the car, I would get the car with the stronger internals which means a 05+. It might be able to handle the boost a little better than the older ones.

Oh yea, the 05 has a better sounding stock exhaust too I love the sound. But I want the Stillen Exhaust eventually too!

The brakes are about even. 05 are cheaper to fix compared to the Brembos.

may i ask how can you say the 05s have stronger internals? they might have some diff internal parts than the previous plus add'l variable valve timing on the exhaust, the purpose of which is to give you that add'l hp but does not equate to them being stronger right? im sure the engine block on all years are the same. if you could point me to where it says the parts on the 05 are stronger please.

and i ddnt know that the 05 exhaust was diff than the 03-04 where does it say that?

Just went to oil change two weeks ago and talked to the tech guy there about the 06 model. He was wondering am I going to trade my 04 to 06. He told me to hold on 04 (with brembos brake). It holds better resale value. Many new buyers still ask and want brembos on their G. He said Infiniti has no plan to put brembos brake back to G in the near future.

While I'm excited about the new revup mod, and you've obviously actually used it, I wouldn't be willing to go so far as to say that the "new motordune kit is proving the 05 is the car to have if you want to mod". That's a very strong statement, and may be true, but it's a little early to make such a general statement without future revup mod successes like the motordyne.

He was referring to the sedan. The 05 sedan's exhaust note is quite different from the 03/04 sedan's.

I've noticed this too. All the 05 sedans I see running around are louder than the 04/03 sedans.
