I guess you got all the reasons why not to park taking up two spots no matter where or why. You're taking a big risk doing that.

Yea... sucks how some people just can't realize that since you have a better car than they do, you are better than them. And since we are better than them, we have the right to double park, drive on both lanes, etc...

has anyone gotten a ticket for taking up two spaces??
I agree with most posters here. Taking up two spaces make you look like a jerk and make your car a target for vandals.

I'll be honest, I sometimes take two spots. But the only times I really do that is when I'm gone for only a few minutes. Make a quick bank deposit, pick up dry cleaning. Its better than parking all the way in the back, walk all the way in just for ten minutes and hike back. The only other times I would ever take up more than one spot is if I'm at a friend's shop or property.... For fun I'll sometimes park perfecly horizontal and take up three spots

My look on it is that if its a nice car then its sorta okay.. its still bad... but not as bad as a dirty, old dented up honda accord taking up two spots.

One point for honesty. Two demerits for taking up more than one spot even if it is only for a few minutes. It's not about the car it's about courtesy.

I know that really burns me when I see people parking anywhere or across two spaces to save a few steps or protect their special (and many aren't) car. I wouldn't do anything to their cars but there are a lot of people who don't have self control or exhibit jealousy with action.

I used to to this occasionally with my older car when I used to compete in car shows. With my G, I've only done it once... so far. It was at my work at the parking lot. I just picked up my car from the body shop and was heading back to work... and didnt have time to drive into the parking structure, so I just parked right up front and took two spots. It was already after hours, the average age of the employees there is probably around 40, and all the security guards know me and my car. I think it really depends on the scenario.

I usually try to find an unlight, dark, obscure corner that no one will ever find to park my car
it's the best
cuz u dont **** anyone off, u dont get anyone's attention (thief or vandals alike)
and yeah

it's a double edged sword really

if someone DOES find it, he can get away with doing anything with no one seeing it
but that's IF

then again, I get my G-coupe parked infront of most clubs/restos cuz here, G35s are EXTREMELY rare
there were like 9 sold.. (price tag is way higher than in the US... it's 75G for a G-coupe here)
and 2 of which are Red

so basically I got the bouncer/valet watching over my car

but places that dont have those.. like in a parking lot
pfff.. I go somewhere extremely remote where no one wld want to walk to
unless there is an attendant

I have, in the past, taken up two spaces right next to someone else that has taken up two, so that we each get one and a half. I park as close as possible to the other car. Mostly I have done this to people I know, just to be a jerk.
