Tried it today , came off easy enough...RE shifting incoming on friday, if you all describe it accurately it sounds like an awesome upgrade. When I first got in the G35 (after driving a S2000 for 2 years) I thought the shifts were a little long but then I got used to it, cant wait to install the RE shifter.... I remember the Integra Type R my friend had was rifle bolt like shift gates

Well now I'm really interested. I had written off the chance of a short shifter after RE said it wasn't much of an improvement for the 05+ 6MT.

Just installed the RE shifter last night , took about an hour and I almost had a hernia getting that plastic piece on. The transition from 2nd-3rd is awesome, getting into 2nd from 1st is kinda hard (maybe it will loosen up with time) but from 2nd and on it is very precise with the shifts. Is it shorter? Noticeably. Whats the biggest difference? The precise shifts - still waiting for it to loosen up some although its only been about 5 miles

Yep, I'm enjoying mine every time I drive her. It'll get better as it loosens up. Give it a few hunderd miles and it'll get better. Shifts get more smoother as it gets loosened up a bit.
