This was strange

So I am driving my car from Toronto to Ottawa and on the 416 to ottawa my service engine light soon comes on. My GPS was up so I read the notes that came with the warning. I called the dealer and they said since i was scheduled to bring it on this wednesday it shouldnt be a problem just bring it in as scheduled.

I had about 1/4 tank of gas at that time. I fileld up and proceeded to my destination. On the way back to toronto the light was still on. I got home it was still on. A couple of hours later i was going to move the car and WOW no light. interesting!!!!

Any ideas?

Thats strange, although cars do that sometimes. What did the GPS screen tell you, any specifics about the problem or code it was throwing the SES for?

The GPS said that is the light is on solid that the gas cap was probably loose. If after filling up it stay on after a few trips then it is a Emission control problem.
