Calling all "X's" with a lowered suspension!

Rebooting is about $35-50 in parts VS replacing a axle at $300'. Labor is still the same.

I feel you turtle, man I was on a date and driving in Seattle and my mind was more avoiding everything than paying attention to her. Then having to slow down everywhere was bothersome. I am thinking raising the car some and the put some fatter tires to fill the gap and to make the ride smoother somewhat.
Side note, anyone have shots of a X dropped on all coupe front and rear? I just picked up a set.
Maybe i'll just trade my coils for some cash+ AWD sways.

hard to say but i would think a little of both. Did you get it address right away with a replacement boot? I heard front axles on a g35x is VERY VERY pricey but i saw FX35 front axles and they are normal price at under $100.

Turtle, I hear ya...
I love being dropped on coils, makes me happy everytime I look at my car.. BUT I can't see myself swapping out every winter..
I am not even "slammed", I have a 1 finger gap if even that.. But Chicago streets can be pretty damn unfriendly to your car..
Does anyone else find themselves cringing/pressing left food against floor when you think you are about to bottom out? Yeah, gets old.
Keep us updated, I will be interested to see what route you take....

Just blew my right said CV joint/axle after being lowered for a month. You can find refurbished left fronts pretty easily for about $70-$100 if you really dig. Right side is a whole other story.... took me almost three full days of looking and finally for a place that had 3..... NOBODY has the right side fronts!! When I checked locally the only place that had the right front was the steelership at the ripe rate of $750 and that was just the part.

As for the CV boot, I think someone swapped their ones with a subaru one and its more flexible. It somewhere in this thread. Yes it most likely has to do with lowering since the axle are at a different angle.
BTW i think i might have a fix to the Passanger side CV bot ripping from being too low.......i went to rockauto.com and bought a few diffeant CV boots off differant cars, that had differant designs/shapes that looked liek they would fit coth ends of the CV boot. and the other day i put a subaru boot on, i looked upnder the car and the boot looks like itt have very little stress on it, hopfully it works

I'm selling my custom KONI shocks built by TRUE-CHOICE. The front shocks are 16-way adjustable (soft-hard). Let me know if you're interested.

I started getting a quiet clunking noise while going over bumps. front driver side. At first it was only making noise on large bumps now it clunks on smaller bumps in the road.
How did you guys figure out the CV boot went?
I looked around but can't replicate the sound, I also took the car to my longtime mechanic he said he can't pin point it either..???????
