06 STI encounter

Had a chance to do a little roll.. from like 5 mph to 55mph
inched away by like a tad (like a fender length) by the time gas is eased

Both cars had a passenger.. and I bet if the STI did a launch, the
G would get eaten .....alive....

Disclaimer: I am not here to support street racing, and I indeed is against it
Just FYI...

I have raced my friend's STI from a red light before. He pretty much teleported 2 car lengths in front of me before I even hit 3rd gear.

that's exactly what i was trying to say... when running it from a dig.. if they launch it properly or if they dump their clutches... there is almost no way that we can hang...

but for acceleration wise..I guess two cars are close (he looked stock..even tho mine is almost stock too .....)

i've worked on 2 or 3 sti's in the past month, 2 stock and one with and intake and exhaust and when i test drove them i tried launchin em.... all i can say is wow! if you know how to launch that car does crazy launches. I think i'm pretty good at launchin it and i was at 30mph in an instant after i launched the STI.

my sister's b-friend drives one and yeah it launches...he converted to fmic...but anyway, he's gone through 2 clutches already and only had it for 1 year and a half... but man the ride comfort is so dang rough.... way too bouncy... we haven't tried running the 2 cars but i know i'll get burned since he's got a few mods on his scuby...

I think the sti flat out moves.!! There is no chance out of the hole with the g.
Mabye from like a 50 roll you could get close because of the all wheel drive

Didn't I say that I was surprised too?

and the funny thing is I was inching...

Moreover, we all know that with a launch, all I could have seen is its butt...

Here was my experience against my friends STI. He had a chubby guy in the car with him. I was by myself in my 05 6MT. From a red light. He instantly jumped a car length in front in first gear (I was just behind his bumper at the end of firtst. By the end of 2nd gear he moved ahead another car length. But then when I shifted to 3rd the gap stayed the same from then on. Without that other guy in the car I suspect it would have been more like a 3 car length beating.
