This gas mileage is retardededed
I know there have been many threads posted regarding people's gas mileage, and most people get 14-19 mpg in the city and 20+ on the highway. My highway mileage is alright, like 20 sometimes 22. But in the city, it's 10! This is ridiculous, and I can't fcking take it, it's draining my wallet.
Mods are listed in my sig, but they haven't really effected the mpg, it's always been bad. And I don't floor it, very rarely. I drive pretty conservative, that's why I'm pissed. I understand if I was racing around all the time, I wouldn't bitch about the mileage.
My question is, is there something that could be hurting my mpg? Fuel filter? i have no idea.

I looked all through the 06 esm and could not never find mention of a fuel filter. I realize Nissan have put many in the tank with the fuel pump assembly but it needs replacement just like every other fuel filter that has ever been created. My past Nissan vehicle had one in the tank and the filter was caked with sediment by 50k miles but the dealer said it was a lifetime part. I also only used name brand (shell or citgo) 93 octane. I would certainly look into the fuel filter as well as obvious things like tire pressure and corresponding maintenance. Is the car's alignment off at all? Have you ever been on a dyno to check the a/f? I realize the dyno will only show WOT points for the a/f but it may be worth finding out.

You may want to try cleaning your mass airflow sensor, changing your air filter, checking your tire pressure, put in some good fuel system cleaner (like redline or something), stuff like that.
I get better than 10 in the city so something must be up.
As for the fuel filter I changed mine when I installed my larger fuel pump for stage 4 because I was in there anyway. Yes it is in the tank. The dealer tried to argue with me when I ordered it saying it does not need replaced but I insisted. I had ~45k and it looked perfect, it's big.

It really depending on what kind of "city" driving you do. If you're driving 2 to 4 miles at a time and the engine never fully warms, your MPGs will be awful, regardless of make.
Also, when I had my Borla TD, I noticed that it absolutely killed my MPGs. I went from 19mpg in the city to 14mpg in the city. Same driving style.

You guys have to keep in mind that the EPA rating numbers are based on a poor system that was designed back in the 1970s. It is currently being revamped and the results are showing that most cars are overrated in mpg by 15-20%.

Man, that picture just shows up everywhere! lol
Nah, I drive like an old lady usually... my maf is clean, my pop charger is almost brand new, tire pressure good, but i'll try putting some fuel system cleaner. I'll also probly get an alignment at my next oil change. Will report back if anything helps.

After putting in the last 150 miles (out of 300) on the highway from yesterday, I filled up last night and calculated my latest mpg at 21.6, my personal best so far. Just bought and put in a 20 oz. bottle of Chevron Techron fuel system cleaner, so we'll see if the mileage improves upon the next fill-up.

That's respectable for a 3,400lb car with deep gearing and a performance based motor.

yea something seems awry here too, im getting maybe 13-14 mpg 90-95% city driving (35-50 mph), this thing is like a permanent hole in my pocket right now, i got only about 9000 miles on it right now, regular oil changes, clean filter, perfect tire pressure, and only premium citgo gas (93 octane) (2.35 a gallon, finally down in a LONG time from the 3.00/3.30 range) so anyone wanna help a brother out?
