Some of you may think I'm nuts but I got a Kinetix SSV for a great deal so I'm going to try it. It's so cool looking, way less than half the price of the Crawford and no waiting list so why not. A few shops have told me it does show good gains on higher boost setups like my car will have so with any luck it will help.
I'm painting the timing cover and valve covers blue and getting all new blue hoses so it should look good. Noting like Viet's amazing engine bay but nice.
Now I need to decide if I want to take the CF off my strut bar and polish it or leave it.

Yeah, Sharif and Sam both told me 43 ft-lbs with the ARP moly lube so that's what we're going with!
Looks like I may have to go out of town for work Wed-Fri of next week so the base tune may be put off for another week.

If we have enough time on the dyno I will do a head to head with my oem + MD 5/16" spacer VS the SSV.
Knowing my need for constant mods I will get the cosworth down the line anyway but not until the waitng lists go down.

Me too!
Looks like my work trip is being pushed out a few days. With any luck the car will be running on Tuedsay night and tuned on Wed.
It will only be a baseline until the twin plate carbon cluth and motor are broken in but still, I can't wait!

Thanks!
I am going to get a daily driver as soon as some bills are paid off. Something cheap and easy on gas.

Clutch needs 1,000 mile (city driving) break in so that will take a couple weeks. Maybe less if I get crazy and just drive everywhere!
I'm not sure what Tony wants to do with the motor.

It's just a 545is.
At first I was in love but now all the little BMW problems have started to pop up and I want my car back. This thing is not worth the money. I'm going to post a review of it when I have time. I was shocked at how many little issues it has for being 3 years old with 31k miles.
Either way I can't complain that much! After 29 years of never letting me near one of her cars she is letting me drive it while she drives her Porsche.

Not sure why I thought 7 series... but the 545 is nice (M5 is one of my favorite cars)... Too bad she's having problems... From what I here the warranty is good and the 3 series owners seem to get things fixed without headache. Still sux to pay that much and have problems.
You better baby the hell out of that thing… it took 29 yrs for her to let you drive her car – don’t make her regret it

I like your style! Everyone talks about the M5's, How are the M6's? With BMW it seems like the more expensive car you buy from them the more they take care of you. But that's only what i have seen with my uncles 3 series to an M5(hes a sucker for BMW). Yea I think the 5 series arent worth the extra money, but that me.I bet you can't wait for Tuesday.
