Noise in back when speeding up

This does not happen all the time but sometimes when I speed up only when I press on the accelerator I hear this metal on metal sound coming from the back, as soon as I let go of the accelerator the sound is gone, when I accelerate again its back, I dunno could it be pad rubbing against rotor???

Thanks

Sounds like rear brakes...I had a similar situation and I replaced rear pads/rotors. The noise went away.

hmmmmm I just checked my rear brake pads and they look like they have about 40% life on them. but it might be a warped rotor...

thanks for the input kvangil

If it's your rear brakes, you should be able to tell since the noise will change when you press the brake pedal. Is no change in noise, might be something else.

its a higher pitch sound, not exhaust for sure, its sounds like a ball bearing is worm out or something like that(but only when I accelerate)...I will bring it in to the dealer since the car is still under warranty. haha funny thing dealer told me if I get it checked out and the part is not covered under warranty, I have to pay for the actual inspection

I get the same noise. Got a 03 sedan with a coupe mid and the heat shield removed. It def is not from the brakes or the exhaust, but I can not figure out what the hell it is. It sounds like a metal rattle. If you figure it out let me know.

check the dust shields on the brakes in the rear it might be just that. They sometimes start to bend and rub a little check the clearance

when I was doing my service for a banging noise I told them about this noise in the back, they cound't hear it, they checked the brakes said they were fine, well at least the dealer replaced Front Compression Rods Left & Right
+ Front & Rear Stabilizer Links.

I will listen to the noise to become louder and bring it in again later on...

Any luck with this yet? I am hearing the same metal rattle from the rear, sounds like sheet metal rattling. It happens most often when I accelerate from a cold start.
