My G got owned by a Grand Prix GXP the other day (the one with the V8) he straight up WALKED away from me..

Mid-high 14s is probably about what my G runs. Doesnt surprise me.

Its good for what it does though. Takes down the RX8s though.


And G20 with a bigger motor? My friend has a G20.. NOTHING is the same on it.

That and its slower than bawls.

 

It's your driving bro. The gxp is front engine and pulls the same 1/4 mile and 0-60 times. The g20 came with the sr20de motor which was not a powerful motor to begin with so I have no idea what you are talking about.

 

Is'nt it GPX ... IDK but those can be modded easily i think.

But anyway this thread is never going to end. It all comes down to the person that owns the car and what they want.

Of course a slushbox can be as fast or faster then a 6mt but we all know for a fact that they are no where near as fun to drive.

I was really getting into that thread that was blocked.. The one the toolbox made about is it worth it to have a F/I sedan or something. It started to get heated up between the coupe and sedan guys.

 

i have intake,exhaust,montordyne spacer 5/16 also... still looking at mid 15's here out of 10 runs on 19's, my best time was 14.9.
about 5 runs on 20's, best was a 15.5...

 

After it happened i looked up the specs.

They run low 14s stock. And around 6 seconds to 60. So they are SLIGHTLY faster than my car. You have to remember, its got the same engine as a Tahoe...


Its 1 pontiac i wouldnt mind owning. That thing looks pretty badass lol.

 

You can hit 151 mph.....you can out run police choppers....:lol

Though I would not advise it.....

GXPs are quick BIG 4 doors =] I was looking into it, But Wrong WHeel drive with that V8. and inside looks plastic lol. Big plastic **** and stuff NO NO. Thats why they coming out wit the G8. V8 RWD. and 6spd. its gonna be the cheaper version of CTS-V.

And if you go to the old ones . GTP. 3.8L Supercharged with pullies exhaust intake mid 13s to low 13s no problem. Big Sleepers.

Know your cars before you go for it lol. At least go for it if you think u gotta chance. =]

Launch hmm, I KNOW 6mt. was spinnin when I launched pass him =] but hey race is a race like everyone says. I dont care if your car catches on fire I WON =]

By the way, How can i raise the limiter for the launch, It only launches at 2800rpms. I want around 3500-4000=]

 

lol i knew what it was. But i was stuck behind him at a light and when it turned green he kinda took off slow, so i got close, then all of a sudden i see some smoke poof out of his exhausts and he takes off. i nail the G to the floor and try and keep up. Next light we are side by side. Light turns green, he roasts his front tires, i get a good AWD launch and take off ahead. Im on a 60mph road, and im doing probably 45 when i look in my mirror to see a big ol' hunk of American steel flying up on me and right by with the sweetest of V8 american sounds comming out of its ***.

I really like V8s haha
