Any Owners Notice a Decrease in Steering Sportiness?

My 05 went in for service today and got another 07 loaner. While i was driving the 07 for the day, i notice that the steering wheel was more tighter and harder/sportier when your making a turn. I'm not talking about the car performance difference between an 05 and 07. I'm talking about the stiffness of the steering wheel. I remember my 05 when i first got her, she was abit stiff when trying to turn the steering wheel. it gave that sporty feel. But now my 05 seems like a lexus, it turn so easily. I find it dangerous when going highway speed that if some nutjob change lane without looking, i'll react and because the steering wheel is TOO responsive, i'll lose control and can't recover. Well, the 07 steering wheel was very stiff, and i want my 05 to be stiff like it was when i first got her.

Does anyone know what i'm talking about? Is there a DIY? Or will infiniti tech guys can fix this? I remember asking them about this a year ago or so but they were scratching their heads like monkeys. They thought i was crazy.

It can be from tires or suspension, or a combination of both. If you get aftermarket wheels, your steering response will change. Make sure your shocks aren't blown, and put factory spec wheels and tires, then you will be fine.

the steering on my 04 is a lot stiffer/'sportier' than on 07 loaners i've driven. my steering actually gets progressively stiffer throughout the day, as the car warms up and is only silky smooth, lexus style, in the mornings or when the car is cold.

My 03 is very tight and sporty also, but I have quite a few mods to account for that.

07 in an entirely different car... completely different... 03-06 are all close enough to compare subtle differences... but 07 is not even the same car really... there is way more than steering that is different about that car.
